Base Logistician

<strong>General Assignment: </strong><br />To bring support to the logistics department and to ensure logistics activities are performed properly on the base:<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br /><strong>Objective&nbsp;1: Assist in carrying out logistics activities: </strong><ul><li>Receive Procurement Requests, sort and group them;</li><li>Organize the purchases and ensure that the internal procedures of the Kit log are respected;</li><li>Transmit the release-from-stock form;</li><li>Ensure that the orders are followed up;</li><li>Ensure delivery to the programs;</li><li>Supervise the stock management.</li></ul>&nbsp;<strong>Manage the base&rsquo;s vehicle park and equipment:</strong> <ul><li>Ensure follow-up of the fleet (repairs, maintenance, consumption);&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in planning what the vehicles are to be used for;</li><li>Ensure that the equipment is used properly.</li></ul>&nbsp;<strong>Manage the restoration and maintenance:</strong> <ul><li>Ensure that the structures necessary for the base to function are restored and maintained: offices, programs, premises, warehouse.</li></ul><strong>Reports: </strong> <ul><li>Compile the stock reports;</li><li>Write a report on vehicle expenditures.</li><li>Write a report on generator expenditures. (If Applicable)</li><li>Write a report on Base equipment&rsquo;s.</li><li>Write a Logistic report using the new Kit Log V_3 Format</li><li>Update the base communication cost follow-up data base</li></ul>&nbsp;<strong>Objective 2: Participate in the security management of the base:</strong> <ul><li>Participate in collecting information;</li><li>Make sure that the security rules are respected;</li><li>Follow the transfers.</li></ul>&nbsp;<strong>Objective 3: Supervise the logistic team by delegation:</strong> <ul><li>Draw up a work plan; Weekly task list;</li><li>Delegate the activities and check that they are properly executed;</li><li>Organize training sessions;</li><li>Carry out appraisal interviews;</li><li>Provide technical support to the team if necessary.</li></ul>

<strong>Educational Qualifications and Skills Required:</strong><ul><li><strong>Qualification/Level of studies:&nbsp;</strong>Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supplies Manager or related field with 3/5 years of relevant experience in NGOs</li><li><strong>Required skills:&nbsp;</strong>Computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Internet)<strong> &ndash; </strong>Good organizing capacity &ndash; Diplomacy &ndash; Rigor &ndash; Autonomy - Transparency &ndash; Resourcefulness &ndash; Management &ndash; English &ndash; humanitarian spirit &ndash; team leading &ndash; hard-working.</li></ul><strong>Salary and Benefits: According to ACF salary scale and Social benefits policy</strong>&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong>Work Base</strong>: Sekota&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong>Availability: </strong>As Soon as Possible<br />&nbsp;<br /><strong>Project Duration: </strong>&nbsp;10 Months with possibility of extension&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;
