Organization for Child Development and Transformation (CHAD-ET) is an indigenous non-for profit and NGO working in the area of supporting children found under difficult circumstances. Currently, CHADET is implementing DfID funded Girls education challenges (GEC) Project which ensures that girls aged 6-19 that live in nine woredas of South Gondar, South Wollo and Arsi zones of Amhara and Oromia regions, are protected from; facing risky migration and early marriage and subsequent sexual abuse and exploitation; and who are either not attending school or unable to thrive at school due to domestic labour, street involvement and family poverty. The project also aims at securing access and retention into good quality transformative education with Child Hope UK as a lead partner. CHADET has rigorous Child Protection Policies and Procedures which all staff are expected to follow as a condition of employment. Summary of job&nbsp;</strong><br />Subject to the general guidelines of CHADET, he/she is responsible for the financial accounting of Subject to the financial guideline of the organization and directives from the Project Coordinator, the accountant shall carry out the activities of the finance section of the project.<br /><br /><strong>2. Duties and responsibilities:-</strong><ul><li>Prepare budget for projects&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare periodic financial reports&nbsp;</li><li>Check bank reconciliation and payroll prepared by the Accountants</li><li>Prepare payment voucher and journal voucher&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare check payments &amp; makes bank reconciliation monthly</li><li>Prepares payroll&nbsp;</li><li>Check the validity of supporting document according to the financial guidelines&nbsp;</li><li>Record and post the financial transactions of the project regularly using Peachtree software&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain necessary financial registers regularly</li><li>Oversee that the store operates in accordance with the store procedures of the organization and undertake annual inventory and registration of fixed assets of field offices&nbsp;</li><li>Checks, verifies &amp; analyzes the bills &amp; amount of the documents&nbsp;</li><li>Make cash count and petty cash counts regularly,</li><li>Carry out other related activities as may be assigned by the Finance Officer &amp; Finance Manager</li><li>Submit monthly financial status report to responsible parties&nbsp;</li></ul>

<strong>Qualification Requirement: </strong>Degree or Diploma in Accounting from recognized University or College<br />Experience: A minimum of two years experience for degree level and four years experience for&nbsp;<br />diploma level preferably in NGO&nbsp;<br /><strong>Skills</strong>&nbsp;<ul><li>Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel&nbsp;</li><li>Good Knowledge of Peachtree Accounting is a requirement&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in institutionalizing financial policies and procedures and internal control systems;</li><li>Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization</li></ul>
