Project Assistant

These attitudes and believes shall guide our actions and relationships.</p> <p>Role and responsibilities:</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;Assist in implementing the&nbsp; activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets and work plans<br />&bull;&nbsp;Ensure adherence to NRC policies, standards and donor requirements<br />&bull;&nbsp;Actively participate in refugee central committee (RCC)<br />&bull;&nbsp;Assist in preparing and conducting community based planning workshops proceeding, analysis and document relevant workshop outcomes.&nbsp;<br />&bull;&nbsp;Help identify appropriate beneficiaries for case based management implementation<br />&bull;&nbsp;Take part in developing support alternatives needs response to improve coping mechanism and innovation in livelihoods<br />&bull;&nbsp;Help and ensure that periodic reports, procurements and distribution of materials and equipment are timely and according to NRC procedures</p> <p>Specific responsibilities:</p> <p>&bull;&nbsp;Identify business opportunities/schemes for cooperative/micro small size enterprise to urban out of camp beneficiaries<br />&bull;&nbsp;Establish close collaboration with relevant&nbsp; stakeholders on the enrolment and apprenticeship&nbsp; provision of TVET and other relevant institutions<br />&bull;&nbsp;Identify, select and register urban refugees and host community beneficiaries participating in the urban program<br />&bull;&nbsp;Participate in monitoring and review of project activities as required</p> <p>Critical interfaces:<br />By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. <p>Professional and Educational Qualifications:<br />&bull;&nbsp;B.Sc./BA degree in&nbsp; business,&nbsp; business management, business administration ,management, Technical and vocational training, entrepreneurship, economics, marketing, livelihoods or other related field<br />&bull;&nbsp;1-3 years of experiences in areas of urban livelihood, resilience building &amp;/ building coping mechanisms, technical and vocational skill training and related jobs with humanitarian /development NGO&rsquo;s</p> <p>Generic professional competencies for this position:<br />&bull;&nbsp;Experience from working on food security and livelihood projects, preferably in a urban setting<br />&bull;&nbsp;Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts<br />&bull;&nbsp;Documented results related to the position&rsquo;s responsibilities<br />&bull;&nbsp;Fluency in English, both written and verbal</p> <p>Context related skills; knowledge and experience:<br />&bull;&nbsp;Experience in implementing project to address issues related to implementation of institute based technical and vocational education and training<br />&bull;&nbsp;Good knowledge and experience of refugee situation i.e. Access, restriction, polices, preferably in a urban context&nbsp;<br />&bull;&nbsp;Ability and skill to effectively communicate, negotiate, both oral and written&nbsp; English and local languages&nbsp; and ability of Tigrigna language is added value<br />&bull;&nbsp;Ability to use computer software (word, excel, power point, etc.) and statistical software</p>
